....I carve using only a pocket knife and an occasional chisel or gouge. Whenever possible, I like to leave the pins natural and protect them with a finish that will bring out the natural beauty of the wood. But some days, I just can't help but paint some color into my woodcarving!

I've just started out with a copy of The Little Book Of Whittling by Chris Lubkemann and a twelve quid knife by 'Flexcut'. Having sat for a couple or hours producing my first wooden knife (which isn't particularly sharp and has a number of undesirable knots) I'm amazed by your work. You say what you've produced and what materials you've used, but you don't say *how* it all came to happen. That would be useful!
