Seahorse Pin

This is a Seahorse pin I carved out of eastern white pine for my wife, Michelle. It is 3-1/2" high, 1-1/2" wide and 3/8" thick. The eye was painted with acrylic black paint. The Seahorse was sprayed with several coats of high gloss lacquer. It has a pinback epoxied to the back.

  1. I've just started out with a copy of The Little Book Of Whittling by Chris Lubkemann and a twelve quid knife by 'Flexcut'. Having sat for a couple or hours producing my first wooden knife (which isn't particularly sharp and has a number of undesirable knots) I'm amazed by your work. You say what you've produced and what materials you've used, but you don't say *how* it all came to happen. That would be useful!
